Dandylion, crochet cat pattern

Dandylion is finished and he looks even more enthusiastic than I hoped for. As soon as I had him finished, I felt like making more. An orange striped version or a black one, maybe a wild cat. I love how he’s able to be positioned in different ways and he can surely observe you with his big eyes like real cats do.

amigurumi cat, crochet cat

Meet Dandylion, my crochet kitty cat pattern. This is such a fun and playful cat amigurumi. He’s made with basic shapes and doesn’t look very realistic, but because of his authentic cat expression, he looks exactly like real a real cat, probably the only animal who lies like this, watching you and being up to no good.

Here are some more pictures of this mischief and scroll down for info about & links to buy the pattern.

Amineko

The first big amigurumi I made was an Amineko. When browsing online for cool patterns this funny cat kept reappearing. I liked him a lot. He was in all sorts of colours and photographed in funny ways at all kinds of locations. I needed one too! After crocheting my first Amineko I wanted to make more….of course, and also found out the designer of the pattern, Nekoyama, had made a book about him called ‘Hello my name is Amineko’. I bought the book online and love it very much. If you like books full of pic’s and crocheting, this book is perfect for you! Nekoyama thougt it was cool that when people make Aminko’s, they take pictures of him in special places and post them on the internet. I didn’t have a blog at that time but did take the pictures. Now I can finally post them on a suitable place, my first blog! In honour of Nekoyama and Amineko. (In Japenese ‘ami’ means crochet and ‘neko’ means cat).

The first one!
